Health promoters

    As a health promoter, your role is to analyse and understand the local behaviour and/or practices at risk of transmitting a disease within a target group. Being part of the medical team, you’re coordinating the communication and education campaigns on different themes in order to support the medical activities (promotion of the medical services, hygiene promotion, information on themes linked to maternal health, malnutrition, malaria, AIDS, ebola, etc.) You can be sent to an emergency project (vaccination campaign, malnutrition, cholera) or to a vertical project (AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria, etc.).

    Prerequisites

    •    Master in anthropology or sociology (social sciences) or in health promotion
    •    2 years of relevant professional experience (working in health promotion/education, prevention, social work, community mobilization, etc)

    Length of mission

    •    6 to 12 months
