In 2015, Abdulbari was 12 years old. The war in Syria had been going on for four years. That year, his life changed when a missile hit the disused hospital where he was taking refuge with his family, in the Idlib region.
Abdulbari's story is that of many Syrian children who are victims of war. Today, he is 20 years old and one of the oldest patients at the MSF hospital in Atmeh, the only facility that treats burn victims in north-west Syria, which is home to more than 4.5 million people.
