Médecins Sans Frontières is proud to count again this year on the generous support of Lombard International Group to its COVID-19 Crisis Fund - India.
We are very grateful for this trust, and for this renewed contribution to our COVID-19 operations.
MSF teams are directly responding to the COVID-19 pandemic in over 70 countries worldwide, focusing their critical relief efforts on three main priorities:
- Supporting local health authorities in providing care for COVID-19 patients
- Protecting those who are most vulnerable and at risk
- Keeping essential medical services running
These actions are particularly vital in fragile health systems which are struggling to meet the health needs of their citizens. In addition, MSF teams are working to protect the increasingly at-risk healthcare personnel in these regions to help limit the spread of the virus as much as possible.
Stuart Parkinson, Group CEO of Lombard International commented: ‘As a global Group serving partners and clients across four continents, we have an active approach to Corporate Citizenship, by ensuring that we have a positive impact in the communities in which we work and operate in across the globe. Lombard International Group supported MSF’s COVID-19 Crisis Fund in 2020 and proudly continues to partner with MSF this year, which celebrates its 50-year anniversary this year.’
Roger Martinez-Dolz, Director General of Médecins Sans Frontières Luxembourg, while expressing the gratitude of Médecins Sans Frontières for this generous and continued support, underlined the impact of global companies on MSF’s operations. He added ‘By supporting our organisation, Lombard International Group makes a direct and lasting difference on the magnitude of our COVID-response, and on the quality of care that we provide to our COVID patients. MSF being privately funded, this is even more remarkable.”
